Passionfruit Martini is the ideal tropical and refreshing cocktail to serve at a summer event. I have provided non-alcoholic tips so the whole family can enjoy this beautiful drink.
Ingredients
2passionfruithalved
¼cup60 ml vodka or gin (see note 2 for non-alcoholic)
30ml1 fl oz Passoã (see note 2 for non-alcoholic)
1tbspfresh lime juice
1tbspsugar syrupsee note 1
2cupsice
Proseccoto serve (see note 2 for non-alcoholic)
Instructions
Scoop the seeds from one of the passionfruit into a cocktail shaker, add the vodka or gin, Passoã, lime juice, sugar syrup and ice.
Shake well, strain into two cocktail glasses, top with prosecco and serve with half a passionfruit in each glass.
Notes
Note 1 – To make a simple sugar syrup, combine equal parts sugar and water in a small saucepan. Heat over medium–high and, once simmering, stir the mixture for 2–3 minutes until the sugar has dissolved. Cool and refrigerate in an airtight container for up to 3 weeks.Note 2 – Prefer to make these non-alcoholic? Substitute the vodka/gin and Passoã with extra passionfruit pulp and use sparkling passionfruit drink to top up instead of prosecco!
