A classic, comforting breakfast, this Creamy Oatmeal recipe is a beautiful way to start your day. You only need 5 minutes and the toppings and type of milk are totally customisable to suit everyone's tastes.
Combine the oats ingredients in a small saucepan and cook over medium heat, stirring continually, for 2–3 minutes or until it reaches your desired consistency. The oats will continue to thicken as they cool.
Serve in a bowl topped with the additional milk, banana, strawberries, nuts, coconut flakes, maple syrup and cinnamon.
Notes
Note 1 – You can use any milk of your choice. For a less creamy consistency, use half water and half milk.Additional topping suggestions – Any fruit (such as sliced apples or raspberries), dried fruit (apricot or cranberries), cocoa nibs, brown sugar instead of maple syrup.
